In Georgia, Thanksgiving day was absolutely ideal. We had wonderful, long-time friends visit for the week and feasted on my husband’s fabulous Thanksgiving meal – the likes of which we will relive in leftovers for many days to come! After our lunch we all went to a place called Blankets Creek in Georgia for a mountain bike/hike to work off the calories we’d accumulated.
With crisp blue skies and a temperature in the upper 60’s, my daughter, friend, and I hiked the lower trails and enjoyed seeing many others who were getting out. This is a picture of my buddy, Lynn, and me. The fellows went on to more ambitious mountain biking and had a blast. I think there was only one mishap when Austin went airborne over a hill he didn’t quite expect to see. Thankfully, he came out of it without a scratch and a nice story to tell.
